Mercedes simplifies run-out C-Class range
posted on Feb 07 2014 by Jade Hensby
Mercedes has slashed the number of variants and have announced a series of updates for its upper medium C-Class before its replacement arrives in the summer.
The firm has cut engine and trim combinations from 47 to 19, leaving four engines and two trim levels. Changes include a new AMG Sports Edition which replaces the existing AMG sport and AMG Sport Plus models, and starts at £30,170 for the Saloon.
It retains the former car’s body kit, and adds a boost spoiler, tinted headlamps and a gloss grille, along with trim updates inside the car. Have a look for yourself at the latest C Class Mercedes lease deals we currently have on offer.
Mercedes have claimed that when the £300 optional 18-inch alloys are fitted, the new model is 50% cheaper than the former AMG Sport Plus variant. This represents a £1500 increase over the standard Executive SE model rather than the former car’s £3000 mark-up.
