Mercedes CLS63 AMG gets power increase and new S model

Mercedes have increased the power of the CLS63 AMG from 518bhp to 549bhp. However, as Mercedes claims the 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged unit is the most efficient V8 currently in series production, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions remain the same despite the hike in power. All CLS AMG cars are also now available with the Mercedes 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system as an optional addition.

A 577bhp S model has also been added to top the CLS range. This new CLS63 AMG S may have a limited top speed of 155mph but it can still reach 62mph from a standing start in just 3.6 seconds. This is 0.6 seconds quicker than the standard CLS63 AMG. The S model also comes with a rear locking differential as standard. This feature only came with an optional performance pack with previous models.

Mercedes are yet to confirm whether or not the CLS AMG S model will be sold in the UK.  We are specialists in leasing Mercedes and have great prices on all Mercedes models & variants, give us a call on 01273 789 900 if you want to discuss anything related to leasing a Merc.
