Lamborghini Huracán Speeds into 2014

Can you imagine how much fun you could have behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán? If us mere mortals were to win the lottery than it could indeed become a reality, but for now I’ll just have to tell you about the ultimate dream car.

With a price tag of £165,000 the new Lamborghini is powered by a beastly 5.2-litre V10 engine developing 602bhp. It can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in a mere 3.2 seconds with a top speed in excess of 202 mph.

The Huracán was named after a legendary Spanish fighting bull, which dates back to the late 19th century. It is created from lightweight but super strong carbon fibre and aluminium. It is set to replace the long standing Gallardo range- aiming to take on rivals, including Ferraris 458 Italia and Britain’s McLaren 12C.

It is still a bit of a gas guzzler and returns around 22 mpg. However, the good news is that stop-start technology has brought CO2 emissions down to around 290 g/km. However, the interior has stepped into its own league. Inside, the driver is cosseted in fine Nappa leather and suede like Alcantara. 12in full-colour instrument panel deliveries all the key information to the driver- from the speedometer and rev counter to navigational maps, entertainment and information. This is the smartest Lamborghini yet.

The official launch will take place at the Geneva Motor Show in spring, and should reach our shores by the autumn of 2014.  If you can't wait until then check out our lease deals for fast lane cars.
