Goodwood is the one of the biggest events of the year for car enthusiasts. There's a lot of anticipation building around this year's festival, which begins on Thursday.  Over 600 cars will be showcased at the festival, it’s the ideal car show to attend if you want to see both modern and vintage vehicles. Goodwood has been running since 1993 and it attracts around 30,000 people every year. From supercars and racing cars to very expensive retro models, there’s something for everyone at Goodwood.

A number of new cars are launched at Goodwood every year. The new Honda Civic Type R will be on show at Goodwood this year. It can reach 0 to 62 in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 167mph. A brand new Honda Civic Type R would set you back £32,295, but you can lease a Honda Civic from just under £200 a month plus VAT.

Another car that’s generating a lot of buzz and excitement is the Aston Martin Vantage GT12, which will be shown at Goodwood this year. This will be the first time that the Vantage GT12 will be displayed in Britain. There are only 100 of these cars in production, all of which have been sold. The Lagonda Taraf will also be on display.

Audi will be showing off the new Audi R8, this car will be making it’s first UK debut at Goodwood 2015. Other key cars to look out for include the Ford Focus RS, Mazda MX5, Lexus GS-F, Ferrari 488 GTB and the Mclaren P1 GTR.

Goodwood also attracts celebrities and famous drivers from around the world. Formula 1 fans should look out for Nico Rosberg, Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa and Jenson Button, who will all be attending this year’s event.

A few drivers will be attending fresh from Le Mans including Mark Webber, Brendon Hartley, Andre Lotterer and Anthony Davidson. Over 110 professional drivers will be attending and taking part in Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015. Some drivers will be taking part in the iconic hillclimb, hoping to break former F1 star Nick Heidfeld’s record of 41.6 seconds from 1999. There is a lot to look forward to at this year’s show with plenty of exciting new cars being launched and famous drivers in attendance.
