Dogs In Convertibles

As the weather gets warmer more people are taking advantage of their convertible cars. Some convertible owners are also dog owners and take their dog with them when cruising around with the top down. Dogs love the air blowing in their face, it’s almost as much fun as sticking their head out the window.

Volkswagen recently did an advert features different breeds of dogs with their heads out the window which has had over 1.2 million views on YouTube.

It’s important to ensure your dog is properly restrained no matter what car you drive. Here are some tips for keeping your dog safe in a convertible:

·         Make sure your dog is not in direct sunlight for too long.

·         Make sure they are adequately restrained  within the car.

·         Drive sensibly. Be considerate and know when your dog has had enough.

·         Be careful of debris blowing into your dog’s eyes and face.

·         Never leave your dog unattended in your car on a hot day.
