posted on Jul 15 2013 by Jo Petty
This Sunday 21st July celebrations will be taking place in Kensington Gardens, London to mark the 100th anniversary of car manufacturer Aston Martin.
The celebrations are part of a whole year's worth of festivities that started on 15th January - Aston Martin's official birthday.
At the event there will be a range of Aston Martin cars on display, showing guests the car manufacturer's unique production history.
Rare cars on display
Every road car will be represented from the A3, the oldest surviving Aston Martin, to the newest models which were created especially for the centenary: the Vanquish Century Edition and the CC100 speedster concept.
There will also be a selection of rare cars on display such as bespoke Zagatos and Bertone Jets. In addition to this, seven cars from the James Bond film franchise will be on show, including the DB5 from the latest Skyfall film.
A range of Aston Martin race cars will also be displayed, all dedicated to the memory of racing driver Allan Simonsen, who died while racing at Le Mans last month.
The celebration is free to attend and will be open from 10am-5pm. For further information visit Aston Martin's website.
