Alleged Celebrity Driving Offences in 2014

Celebrities aren’t above the law.  It’s quite common to see a celebrity arrested for driving offences. Some celebrities seem to get themselves into all sorts of trouble. Here are some alleged celebrity driving offences from 2014 so far.

Lee Ryan

Blue singer Lee Ryan was pulled over in the early hours of Friday the 11th of April. He attended Ealing Magistrates Court with his bandmates in tow and pleaded guilty to criminal damage and failing to take a breathalyser test. He was accused of destroying his sell when he stayed there overnight. He was banned from driving and fined. Lee was also banned from driving in 2003 for drink driving.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is all over the tabloids for all sorts of reasons, one of which is his driving habits. He doesn’t seem to be able to do anything right at the moment. He faced charges of DUI and drag racing as well as resisting arrest by Miami Police.

Professor Green

Professor Green has got himself into a few sticky situations recently while out driving his flashy Mercedes. He has been banned for drink driving and won’t be able to use vehicles for one year. He crashed his Mercedes into a van shortly after being robbed on his doorstep. Find out more about what happened here.

David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff took part in the Gumball 3000 rally and drove one of the most memorable TV cars. The star got caught speeding in his KITT from Knight Rider and hoped his celebrity status would get him out of the fine. He said a picture with officers normally gets him out of a ticket but not this time.

Andrew Flintoff

England cricket superstar Andrew Flintoff is not beyond the law. He was caught doing 58mph in a 50mph zone at 3.48 on the 27th of January. For this he received a three penalty points and was fined £400. It’s unlikely that the £400 fine will damage his bank balance too much but the points may make him nervous. He now has a total of nine points, just three points away from a possible driving ban.

Barbara Knox

Fans of Coronation Street will know the character Rita Tanner. The actress Barbara Knox has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Her 56-year-old daughter, Maxine Ashcroft was also arrested for drink driving on the same day. She had been out for the afternoon with her mother when they were pulled over.
