The 2013 E63 Mercedes-Benz AMG can be seen in a new image released by Mercedes ahead of its official debut at next weeks Detroit motor show. The new E63 has undergone a similar makeover as the rest of the E Class range. View our latest Mercedes E Class Saloon prices here.
Its expected the new E63 will receive a power boost, with the 5.5-litre twin turbo V8 to produce about 540bhp and 531lb ft of torque. Performance is also believed to have been bettered, with the supersaloon taking just 3.5 seconds to reach 60mph from a standing start. However this figure has not been attached to the all-wheel or rear-wheel drive versions, the latter being the only option available in the UK. A Performance Pack, which adds another 25bhp and 26lb ft to increase top speed from 155mph to 186mph, may be needed to reach this level of acceleration.
Like the rest of the E Class range, the E63 AMG has received a number of styling revisions. This includes a new front grille and replacing the quad headlights for two single-element units. The rear lights have also been updated alongside the front bumper which now has large vents with black mesh. A V8 Biturbo badge can also be found on the front wings.
Other changes can also be found inside the 2013 E63 AMGs cabin including better quality trims, the latest version of Mercedes Comand infotainment system and new instruments. No information concerning starting prices or release date has yet been confirmed by Mercedes.
