Honda reveals 2013 CR-Z prices
posted on Dec 07 2012 by Sam Jones
Prices for the new Honda CR-Z will start from £20,550 as the sporty hybrid gets more power and a subtle makeover.
The 2013 CR-Z gets 7bhp more from its 1.5-litre petrol engine than its predecessor, giving 119bhp. Combined with the electric motor, which also gets a more powerful lithium ion battery, the total power output is 135bhp. This gives the Sport version an improved 0-62mph of 9.1 seconds and 9.5 seconds for the GT. This is 0.9 and 0.6 seconds faster respectively.
The new Sport Plus (S+) boost system also gives the updated CR-Z a 10 second increase in electrical power when the steering wheel mounted button is activated.
However, the CR-Zs fuel economy and CO2 emissions have not been affected despite the improved performance. The Sport model manages 56.5mpg and 116g/km on average while the GT does 54.2mpg and 122g/km.
Honda has also given the latest CR-Z a slight face lift with new alloys, front bumper and revised front grille. GT versions will get 17-inch alloys. Two new paint finishes, Energetic Yellow and Aurora Violet, will also be available. Mild changes have also been made to the interior colour scheme and a new door trim has improved cabin storage.
The 2013 Honda CR-Z can be ordered now with prices starting at £20,550 for the Sport version and 23,050 for the GT.
