With the LA motor show starting at the end of the month it seems like a good idea to have a quick look at what manufacturers have lined up for us. More than forty new vehicles are set to make their debut and dozens of concept cars will unveil what the future has in store.
Mini will be one of the busiest manufacturers with both the Paceman and John Cooper Works GP, the fastest Mini ever, set to receive their American debuts. The recent success in the USA makes it Minis most important market. Much of this is accredited to the Countryman, upon which the Paceman is based. A revised version of the Countryman will also be unveiled in Los Angeles, two years after its initial debut.
Rivals BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar will all be showcasing brand new cars in LA. BMW will take the opportunity to show off two concept cars; the X1 Concept K2 and the i8 concept roadster. Meanwhile Mercedes will debut the new 622bhp 6.2-litre V8-powered SLS AMG Black Series as well as entering the Ener-G-Force concept car in the shows Design Challenge. The British corner will be fought by Jaguar who will launch the F-Type Black Pack and the XFR-S, its most powerful and fastest saloon ever.
Visitors can also expect to see appearances from Kia, Fiat, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Audi, Toyota, Lamborghini, Nissan, Subaru, Volkswagen and Porsche when the LA auto show takes place from 30th November to 9th December.
