Saab´s new 4x4 Crossover unveiled

At long last Saab have finally taken the wraps off of their new 4 wheel drive crossover, the 9-4X. It will have it's debut at the Los Angeles motor show in November, and is the first time the manufacturer has ventured outside of the traditional genre's is has become famous for.

It will be powered by a a 296bhp 2.8-litre turbo engine, which will become the flagship of the range. Saab hasn't mentioned diesels yet, but it's likely that the new twin-turbo 1.9-litre TTiD engine that recently appeared in the 9-3 saloon will feature.

Saab's new owners, Dutch supercar maker Spyker, will hope that this new model will help to get the Sweedish brand back into proffit after the trials and tribulations of the past few years, seeing it seperate from the Americal giant GM, but only time will tell. No pricing has been officially announced as yet but expect prices to start around £30,000.
