New MK6 VW Golf GTI

The order book for the NEW VW Golf MK6 GTI opens this afternoon. VW is expecting a flurry of orders as interest has been keen since the cars debut at the Paris motorshow earlier this year. Contract Hire and car Leasing rates are likely to be launched shortly in the new quarter starting April 1 2009. VW features within the top 3 Marques that we at GMC Leasing supply and we expect to offer this NEW Golf GTi on our main web site very soon, so watch this space. New VW MK6 Golf GTI Under the skin of the NEW MK6 VW Golf GTi the changes amount to an extra 10bhp – taking total output to 207bhp with a drop in emissions, down by 11g/km, both of which owe their thanks to tweaks to the induction system. The designers have added a electronic limited-slip diff, called XDS, something which appears on a GTI for the first time. Also fitted to this hot hatch debut is the adaptive chassis control system (ACC) from the Scirocco, which comes complete with normal, comfort and sport settings. You will find the engine and transmission are the same as before, so you can select from the standard six-speed manual or go for the optional six-speed DSG twin-clutch semi-auto. New VW Golf MK6 GTI Interior Cosmetic changes as you will find on the regular Mk6 hatch, are fairly minimal but there are no 2 doubts that you will not mistake this GTI's styling. Inspired by the Golf GTI W12 concept there's a wide one-piece lower-grille which is far more aggressive than the three-piece design on the fifth-generation GTI. The foglights have been located on the furthest possible edges of the grille, making the car look wider still and the narrow upper-grille features red-banding, harking back to the iconic Mk1 hot Golf. At the back of the car, a rear diffuser has been fitted which features twin exhausts, separated so that each tailpipe is pushed to the sides, echoing the design at the front. The overall effect is a car that looks wider, lower and more squat on the road – despite no major dimension changes over the current car. The alloys are the same design, due to their big popularity on the Mk5 GTI. New MK6 VW Golf GTI Rear
