Audi TT Car Leasing

Audi TT's are a very popular in the car leasing industry. They are great to drive and there some really impressive car leasing deals on them, too.
But before you lease an Audi TT, take five minutes to learn about the Audi TT's heritage and then discover all the technology and driver aids are part of the TT experience.
Audi TT History
The Audi TT was unveiled as a concept car in 1995. Just three years later, it was put into production. It was the dawn of a wonderful new era for Audi. And it began with Bauhaus art.
The Bauhaus art movement was founded in Germany by the architect Walter Gropius who wanted to focus on ‘fundamental design', not decoration. He felt that true beauty was to be found in a purity of purpose, in exact proportions and carefully controlled geometry.
Audi's stylists adopted these principles to create the clean, minimal yet award-winningly beautiful TT.
The Audi TT is a two-door compact sports car manufactured by Audi since 1998.
The Audi TT is now in its second generation — and both generations have been available in two car body styles; as a 2+2 Coupé, or two-seater Roadster. The Audi TT includes a front-mounted transversely orientated engine, front-wheel drive or a Haldex Traction-based quattro 'on-demand' four-wheel drive system, and fully independent front suspension using MacPherson struts.
The styling of the Audi TT began in the spring of 1994 at the Volkswagen Group Design Center in California. The TT was first shown as a concept car at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show.
A previously unused laser beam welding adaptation, which enabled seamless design features on the first-generation TT, delayed its introduction. Audi did not initially offer any type of automatic transmission option for the TT. However, from 2003, a dual clutch six-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG) became available, with the United Kingdom TT variants becoming the world's first user of a dual clutch transmission configured for a right-hand drive vehicle.
New Audi TT: new technology & features
Both the Coupé and Roadster are offered with quattro and the innovative S tronic automatic transmission technology. In addition to a 3-spoke flat-bottom leather steering wheel and aluminium interior detailing, all TT models feature front Sports seats, climate control and an aerodynamic rear spoiler which automatically extends when the car reaches 74 mph. And the driving experience, as you would expect, is just as thrilling.
An extremely popular model is the Audi TT Coupe. So whilst there is also a roadster available, we're going to concentrate this article on the Coupe.
Interior And Exterior Design Features Of The New Audi TT
It's a sports car; nothing less. The Audi TT Coupé is driver-oriented throughout. The large chrome-ringed instruments are angled directly at you, your hand falls naturally to the gearlever and the pedals are perfectly situated for performance driving. The cabin has everything close to hand with contoured sports seats for lateral support and everything's adjustable. From your seat to the racing-inspired flat-bottomed steering wheel.
This flat-bottomed leather steering wheel is standard on all TTs. The optional multi-function wheel provides easy access to radio and CD functions and, if fitted, control of your mobile phone.
With the S line package, sporting style is emphasised even further with contrast-colour stitching and discreet embossing of the S line badge.
Contoured sports seats provide excellent lateral support and are upholstered in a stylish Alcantara and leather combination with contrasting stitching. The seats are positioned low providing the best possible driving experience and can be electronically adjusted as an option.
Aluminium look pedals add further sporting flair and charisma to the cockpit.

The TT Coupe's distinctive single-frame grille takes up a low position in the face of the car emphasising its sporting appeal. While new, flat intake slits beneath the radiator grille channel greater quantities of air to the engine.
Clear glass rear lights provide exceptional visual depth and are one of the Audi TT Coupé's most striking features.
To enhance stability and performance, the retractable rear spoiler automatically extends at 74 mph to ensure optimum aerodynamics. This sporty feature can also be operated manually.A wide range of alloy wheels in a number of different designs are available:
- 18 x 9J ‘10-spoke' design alloy wheels in bi-colour finish
- 18 x 9J ‘10-spoke exclusive' design alloy wheels
- 18 x 9J ‘Turbine' design alloy wheels
- 19 x 9J ‘7-arm double-spoke' design alloy wheels
- 19 x 9J ‘5-segment-spoke' design alloy wheels
What Else Can You Expect From An Audi TT?
DVD navigation for stress-free motoring
With the optional Audi DVD-based navigation system, it's extremely hard to get lost. Simply enter a new destination in the centre console or just say where you want to go using the Voice Control System.
Compared to a CD-ROM, the DVD-based navigation system can hold nine times as much information. So maps load faster and there's more detail when you zoom in. You can also specify modifications to the route such as avoiding or using motorways, toll roads and ferries. And you can recall favourite and recent destinations which are stored in your address book.
The system can also adjust the route you're taking dynamically based on the latest traffic situation. It receives RDS-TMC (Traffic Message Channel) automatically so it knows about hold-ups before you do and, if dynamic navigation is active, the system automatically recomputes the route.
BOSE Sounds
The optional BOSE premium sound system is a wonder of audio technical achievement. The size, shape and placement of the speakers has been carefully optimised to match the internal dimensions of the cabin to deliver rich, full and clear sound as you travel.
An eight-channel advanced amplifier delivers a massive 255 watts of power to 12 high-performance speakers. One central speaker and two tweeters in the dashboard, two mid-range speakers and woofers in each of the doors, two tweeters and two bass/midrange speakers in the rear side trims and finally a subwoofer ..
With a BOSE sound system in your Audi TT, your listening pleasure need never be disturbed.
Music Interface
A very wide range of portable music devices can integrate with your car via the optional Audi Music Interface. Once installed, they can be controlled with the multifunction steering wheel if you've had one fitted. Supported devices include USB memory sticks, portable hard discs, mobile phones, MP3 players and Apple iPods - even portable cassette players.
But it's not just the audio signal that's transmitted. With compatible devices, detailed track information is displayed. Audi Music Interface is only available in combination with DVD Satellite Navigation Plus.
Safety Features
Airbags
Adaptive technology improves on the original airbag concept significantly. In the event of a collision, the level of impact and the position of the seat are considered and the deployment force of the airbag is adjusted accordingly.
Full-size airbags, as well as side airbags are provided for both the driver and front passenger as standard.
Seat belts
If there's a head-on collision, the three-point inertia reel seat belts tighten to strap you to your seat more securely, limiting excessive movement caused by momentum.
Audi Backguard head restraints
The Audi Backguard system is designed into the body of the seat and counteracts the dangers of whiplash injuries to the neck and head in the event of a rear-end collision.
Sport Brakes
A 17-inch dual-piston brake system delivers truly impressive stopping power whenever you need it. Floating-calliper brakes with 334mm vented disc brakes on the front and 265mm vented disc brakes on the rear stop the car in a balanced, safe and effective way.ABS
The Anti-lock braking system works by momentarily releasing and then applying the brakes when it detects a skid resulting in reduced stopping distances and the ability to turn under emergency braking.
ASR
Anti-slip regulation - or traction control - reduces power to any wheel that is in danger of spinning. Full power is returned when traction is re-established.
EBD
Electronic brake-force distribution works in conjunction with ABS to ensure an even maximum braking force between the front and rear wheels.
EDL
The electronic differential lock allows a smooth getaway on surfaces with mixed levels of grip.
ESP
Audi's electronic stability programme uses the four technologies above. It identifies the intended direction and applies braking to individual wheels to help keep the car stable.
Driver Aids
The rear luggage compartment is easily accessible and offers a decent 290 litre capacity. However by dropping the split folding rear seats, capacity increases to a very generous 700 litres.
Parking Assistance
When you reverse, the Audi Acoustic Parking System is activated. It sounds a clear tone if there are obstacles behind the car. The nearer you get, the more frequent the tones. The sound becomes continuous at just 30cm from the obstacle.
Light And Rain Sensor Pack
The optional light and rain sensors can automatically activate or deactivate the low-beam headlights and the windscreen wipers when required. This is particularly convenient, for instance, in unpredictable and poor weather, entering tunnels, or simply, when it's getting dark. And the rain sensor reacts to the strength of the rain - adapting the wiper interval accordingly - meaning you can just concentrate on driving.
Also included in the light and rain sensor pack are auto-dimming rear view and door mirrors.
High Beam Assist
The optional high-beam assistant automatically detects headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of other road users and switches between high and low beam accordingly; providing a safer and more relaxed driving experience. It can also detect and react to ambient lighting, such as street lights and road signs.
Engine Choices
The new Audi TT Coupé and Roadster 2.0 TDI quattro models are the world's first diesel powered sports cars. And the Coupé returns a staggering 53.3 mpg with a CO2 emissions output of just 139 g/km - making this TDI TT an attractive proposition for both business and pleasure.
But the new engine is not just about low emissions and impressive fuel economy. Any engine fitted to Audi has to offer exceptional performance, and the four-cylinder turbo unit certainly delivers. It powers the Coupé to 62mph in 7.5 seconds and can reach, speed limits permitting, a top speed of 140mph.
The revolutionary S tronic transmission combines the responsiveness of a manual gearbox with the convenience of an automatic. Thanks to innovative dual-clutch technology, S tronic can make a gear change in just 0.2 of a second, with no interruption to the power flow, allowing you to benefit as fully as possible from the engine's output at all times, resulting in better fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.
Alternatively, for fast, crisp gear changes in a sporty, manual set-up, you can choose to specify your Audi TT with short-shift manual transmission.
Audi TT Quattro
Featured on Audi TT quattro models, the latest generation of the Haldex clutch ensures that engine power is permanently distributed between the front and rear axles as and when required. The general principle behind the Haldex clutch is it always allocates the driving forces to the axle with the better traction. For instance, if the front wheels begin to lose traction, it channels power to the rear.
Magnetic Ride Adjustment
The optional Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping system allows you to regulate the damping forces of the suspension depending on the road conditions. There are two modes: ‘normal' and ‘sport'.
‘Normal' mode gives a more comfortable drive while ‘Sport' stiffens the suspension to reduce pitching and rolling.
Audi magnetic ride also interprets the prevailing road conditions to improve road behaviour, ride comfort and handling.
ESP With Sport Mode
Huge, supremely effective ventilated disc brakes mean you can drive the TT Coupé the way it's meant to be driven - with confidence.
The Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) adds to that reassurance without numbing the performance thanks to its Sport mode. The system will brake wheels individually and modulate the engine's power output to rescue the situation if it detects you have lost control. So you can enjoy the car's handling to the full.
Servotronic Steering Assistance
Audi's servotronic steering was developed on the racetrack. It increases assistance to the steering rack based on vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. It senses when the wheel is turned and distributes the perfect amount of power assistance. So you can experience a more precise and responsive drive.
