Ford shows off new Focus ST in Paris
Ford will show off the hardcore version of the all-new Focus at the Paris Motor Show. The Focus ST is armed with 247bhp as standard and is aimed squarely at the Renaultsport Mégane when it hits showrooms in 2012.
The Paris show car is is presented in the "subtle" Tangerine Scream orange paint work. Sitting on huge 19-inch wheels, wears a roof-mounted spoiler and has matching orange brake callipers.
The gaping grille is different to the standard Focus', sucking in cold air to feed a 2.0-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine. Even though it has more power than the current Focus ST, the new engine is smaller to improve CO2 emissions and fuel economy.
Ford hasn't given us any other numbers as yet - the company is saving that for the September 30 debut - but you can guarantee the car will be quicker as well as being more efficient.
